College of Chemistry held the Award Ceremony of Chenjie-Qiumei Scholarship for the first time, meanwhile a related strategic cooperation unit for student training was inaugurated in Pulandian District, Dalian on March 15.

It was an alumni couple of Chen Jie and Li Qiumei, who graduated from the Class of 1978 in the College of Chemistry who donated for the scholarship. The Scholarship aims to subsidize the diligent college students from low-income families.

The alumni Chen Jie and Li Qiumei started their business in 1994. They found Dalian Jieshi Cleaning Supplies Co., Ltd, focusing on the sustainable development of human health and environmental health. Through over 20 years’ efforts in domestic market, the company has grown up with much experience and a strong ability for scientific research, making itself a brilliant brand of cleaning agent in China. Now the company owns 1 manufacturing center, 1 research and development center and 17 marketing centers nationwide.
