On April 10, Wu Meiyan, Executive Secretary of Ancient Books Preservation & Conservation Academy of Taiwan, came to visit Library of LNU to have an exchange, who was welcomed by Director of Library Liu Ningning and librarians of Ancient Books Collection Center. A special forum was held then, which was aimed at exchanging both sides’ experience about the preservation and conservation of ancient books.

On the forum, Ms. Wu introduced in detail about some major academic conferences held by the academy in Taiwan, such as “Cross-Strait Ancient Books Summit Forum”, “Ancient Books Preservation & Spreading Seminar” and so on. Both sides of LNU and the Academy expressed the desire to cooperate with each other in related fields, and they discussed some issues about ancient books, such as their collation and publishment, preservation and promotion, innovative cultural business and the research and development of ancient books conservation.
