School of Economics held the 2017 China Financial Development Forum and relevant academic activities on May 20. Many financial elites attended the forum, most of whom are leaders, experts or scholars from over 70 financial enterprises and 54 colleges and institutes, along with teachers and students of LNU.

The forum had three sub-forums: Forum of Financial Development and Overall Revitalization of Northeast China, Prof. Bai Qinxian’s Academic Ideas Forum and Economic Elites Lecture Hall. And several topics were discussed in these forums, such as “Stage Judgments of China's Economy and Dynamic Structure of the Growth”, “Transformation of Monetary Policy Framework and Financial Supply-side Structural Reform” and so on.
