According to the official announcement of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, LNU has been granted eight new degree authorization units. Among them, there are four Ph.D. programs in first-level disciplines, namely: Marxist Theory, Chinese History, Physics, and Environmental Science & Engineering. There are one Master's program in Pharmacy and three Professional Master's programs in Tourism Management, Publication, and Heritage and Museum. Thus the University has achieved a zero breakthrough in the number of doctoral programs in Engineering at the first-level, and the number of doctoral degree programs in Sciences has increased to two. Hence the total number of doctoral programs in the first-level disciplines has reached 12, Master’s degree programs to 27, and Professional Master’s degree programs to 26.
