The Team of Liaoning University Won the Second Prize in the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition 2019 ( in English)

The International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition 2019 (in English) was held at the China University of Political Science and Law. Representative teams from 34 universities across the country participated in the competition. The judge team of the competition included Mr. Liu Daqun, the former judge of the International Criminal Court of Yugoslavia, and other domestic and foreign experts and scholars of international law, which was largely comprised of highly professional foreign judges.

Under the leadership of the instructor, the team members from Liaoning University united to overcome difficulties and studied a lot of English materials in spare time and winter vacation to modify and improve the pleadings again and again. The team members always kept cool heads and matched against the strong opponents, and finally won “The Best Memorandum” award and the Second Prize of the trial, the best record among the universities that participated in the competition for the first time.

The International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition (in English) is an annual moot court competition based on the entity and procedural rules of the International Criminal Court that has far-reaching influences in the field of international law. It aims to cultivate the international perspective of law students, disseminate the ideas of international criminal law, and improve students' understanding of international criminal law and their ability of debating in English.
