The General Office of Ministry of Education recently has unveiled the list of national-level innovation and entrepreneurship schools and construction of national-level innovative and entrepreneurial practice bases. Innovation and Entrepreneurship School of Liaoning University listed among national-level innovation and entrepreneurship schools is seen as a remarkable outcome and will have the firm footing for innovation and entrepreneurship education. Meanwhile, LNU’s Innovative and Entrepreneurial Practice Base, supported by LNU’s Liberal Arts Comprehensive Experiment Center, is elevated to provincial level.

As always, Liaoning University unswervingly adheres to its original aspiration “ Education for the Party and for the Nation”, steadily strengthens the integration of diversified innovative and entrepreneurial education, and carries out problem-oriented construction and reforms in relevant courses. The all-round and multi-angle education in LNU’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship School effectively enhances students’ innovative and entrepreneurial mindset and practical capabilities, but also uplifts students’ morale as innovators and entrepreneurs.

As one of the national-level model higher institutions in deepening innovative and entrepreneurial education reform, Liaoning University at present boasts 20 provincial-level students practice bases approved for entrepreneurial projects, 23 innovative and entrepreneurial laboratories and over 140 off-campus education bases. Plus, LNU provides 5 compulsory courses, over 40 optional courses and 3 international courses, as well as more than 30 comprehensive and competitive courses. Right now, the University has fundraised 125 million RMB yuan ($17,56 million) for Innovation and Practice Teaching Center of Liaoning University. The Center, covering 215,000 square meters, is to be completed in 2023. In the field of innovation and entrepreneurship, LNU has already made remarkable progress, such as being awarded the first-class courses at the national level, gold prize in China College Students’ ‘Internet+’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and National College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Annual Conference Prize.

Taking this opportunity, Liaoning University will vigorously engage in regional social-economic development and industrial structure upgrade, further consolidate innovation and entrepreneurship courses, faculty building, enhance scientific research capabilities, expedite the transformation of innovative achievements, promote the competence in National Training Programs of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Undergraduates and China College Students’ ‘Internet+’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition etc., so as to fuel its innovative and entrepreneurial growth and quality in an all-round way.
