Yu Miaojie Elected as the Vice President of the Fourth Council of the National Hong Kong and Macao Research Association

Recently, the National Hong Kong and Macao Research Association sent a letter inviting Yu Miaojie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Liaoning University, to serve as vice president of the Fourth Council of the National Hong Kong and Macao Research Association.          

The National Hong Kong and Macao Research Association is a national non-governmental academic association registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs, being in charge of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council. It was established in Beijing on December 6, 2013, with the aim of coordinating the theoretical and practical research of "one country, two systems" and strengthening academic exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong, Macao, and the Mainland. The Hong Kong and Macao Institute of the State Council Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office sponsors the research institute, which encompasses three professional committees: politics and law, economy, and society and administration. At present, there are 35 research institutes with 718 individual members; among them, there are 435 Mainland members, 212 Hong Kong members, and 71 Macao members. Its president is Deng Zhonghua, former Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council and a member of the Party Group.
