On June 25, 2024, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko received a delegation of presidents from 15 high-level universities in China at the Minsk Independence Palace, including Yu Miaojie, President of Liaoning University. The delegation was led by Hao Ping, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Peking University. Xie Xiaoyong, Ambassador of People’s Republic of China (PRC) to the Republic of Belarus, Andrei Ivanets, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus and representatives of nine Belarusian universities attended the meeting.

Lukashenko welcomed the representatives of the Chinese universities and noted that China and Belarus are active in cooperating in political and economic fields. The visit of the delegation of high-level university presidents from China to Belarus demonstrated the deepening cooperation between China and Belarus in the fields of science, education and culture.

During the meeting, the presidents from China and Belarus had a discussion on the priorities and ways of cooperation between the two sides.
