On July 3, 2024, the 2024 postgraduate graduation ceremony and degree awarding ceremony of Liaoning University was held in the gymnasium, Puhe Campus. Pan Yishan, Secretary of the CPC Committee, Yu Miaojie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President, Li Yupeng, Vice President, Zhang Hongxin, Secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection, Huo Chunhui, Vice President, Qiu Huanguang, Vice President, members of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee, members of the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee, alumni representatives and CPC and governmental leaders of relevant departments attended the graduation ceremony. The ceremony was also attended by postgraduate counselors, graduate officers and the 2024 PhD and master graduates. The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Huo Chunhui.

Yu Miaojie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Liaoning University conferred graduation certificates to the graduate representatives and congratulated the 2024 graduates on behalf of the university. He also expressed his heartfelt thanks to the teachers, parents and alumni who had long supported the development of Liaoning University and summarized the achievements made by the graduates. President Yu hoped that the students could apply what they had learned to the construction of the country and the well-being of the people wherever they are and extended these expectations to them. Firstly, he hoped that the graduates would develop themselves both domestically and internationally by bearing their responsibilities. He noted that they should be good at observing changes in society and transfer their knowledge, the personalities forged and their skills  towards the needs of the country and Liaoning Province. Secondly, he hoped that the graduates would cultivate themselves to be people of justice. He noted that they should work to be self-disciplined and always put the interests of the people in first place, thus displaying the justice and responsibilities of Liaoning University. Thirdly, he hoped that the graduates would work at the primary level in an independent way. He noted that they should dare to struggle and meet challenges head on. Fourth, he hoped that the graduates would improve themselves alongside the trends of the times. He noted that they should strive to make breakthroughs and devote what they have thought and learned to serve the country and the people.

Xu Bin, a postgraduate in Philosophy of Liaoning University in 1997, a professor of Marxism College of Beijing Normal University and Director of Marxist Theory Research Center of Beijing Normal University spoke as a representative of outstanding alumni.

 

   

 

Professor Zhao Deqi, Dean of the Asia-Australia Business College and a PhD supervisor spoke as a representative of postgraduate tutors.

 

   

 

Huang Mengnan, a 2024 PhD graduate in Inorganic Chemistry from the School of Chemistry spoke as a representative of PhD graduates.

 

   

 

Ren Hanxiao, a 2024 postgraduate in Modern and Contemporary Literature in China from the School of Liberal Arts spoke as a representative of the postgraduates.

 

   

 

After the graduation ceremony, the degree conferring ceremony was held, where leaders of the university and members of the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee held the ceremony of turning the tassel for the graduates in turn, conferred certificates and took photos with them.

 

   

 

A message video ‘Departure’, a graduate dance program ‘With Me’ and a group photo video ‘Little Happiness’ were broadcast at the ceremony. After the ceremony, the graduates took a group photo.
