The unveiling ceremony of the Future Industry Technology Research Institute of Liaoning University was held in Hall 113 of the Puhe Campus of Liaoning University (LNU). Liu Jiande, President of the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong, Huo Chunhui, Vice President of Liaoning University and Dean of the Future Industry Technology Research Institute of Liaoning University, attended the unveiling ceremony. Ge Chunhua, Dean of the School of Chemistry at Liaoning University, Zhao Zhongzhou, Director of the Science and Technology Cooperation and Technology Transfer Department of the Science and Technology Institute, Han Zhengbo, Vice Dean of the School of Chemistry, Xiong Ying, Vice Dean of the School of Chemistry, Jiang Yi, and representatives of some teachers, students, and cooperative enterprises of Liaoning University also attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Jiang Yi.
Before the ceremony, representatives from Liaoning University had a discussion with Liu Jiande, and some representatives from enterprises participated in the discussion. At the symposium, in-depth discussions were held on the construction of a pilot production line for carbon fiber photovoltaic brackets at Liaoning University and the promotion of educational and scientific research cooperation between Liaoning University and the Greater Bay Area. The vision of further strengthening deep cooperation and communication as well as realizing common development was expressed.
At the unveiling ceremony, Huo Chunhui presented Liu Jiande with a letter of appointment as a visiting professor at the Future Industry Research Institute of Liaoning University. Subsequently, Huo Chunhui and Liu Jiande jointly unveiled the plaque for the Future Industrial Technology Research Institute of Liaoning University and took a group photo with the attending representatives.
Huo Chunhui delivered a speech on behalf of Liaoning University at the ceremony. He stated that the establishment of the research institute marks an important step forward for Liaoning University in the fields of academic research and technological innovation. It reflects LNU's active response to the national science and technology strategy, promotion of economic transformation, and proactive implementation of policy requirements. The research institute will take future materials as a breakthrough point to promote the development of related industries, and further enhance the research level of the LNU by forming an international research team. In the future, the research institute will adhere to open cooperation, promote the transformation of scientific research achievements, and assist the LNU's Double First-Class construction and regional economic development.
At the end of the meeting, Liu Jiande gave an academic report on the topic of ‘Hydrogen Energy and Electric Vehicle Battery Recycling Project’ to the attending teachers and students, and answered their questions on site.
