On October 1, 2024, Liaoning University (LNU) held a flag raising ceremony at its three campuses to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Zhang Hongxin, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee of LNU and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech on behalf of LNU. Officials in charge of functional departments and representatives of teachers and students from the colleges of LNU participated in the activity.

In his speech, Zhang Hongxin first extended his sincerest and warmest wishes on behalf of LNU to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. He stated that to demonstrate new achievements in the new era, one must have a patriotic heart with firm ideals and faith. He continued that we must dedicate ourselves to the country with real talents and repay the country with hard work by turning patriotism into the source of ideals and beliefs, building a solid spiritual foundation for patriotic struggle with firm ideals and beliefs, as well as integrating personal ideals into the development of the cause of the country and the nation. Teachers should consciously practice the spirit of educators, build their professional ethics and style, develop solid knowledge, take root in education and cultivate talents. Young students should learn knowledge well, lay a solid foundation and develop the true skills of building a strong country and serving the country. He added that we must remain resolutely determined to become a strong country and take on responsibilities courageously. The Liaoning University temperament, embodied by the original aspiration and mission of the Party, being responsibility-taken as the eldest son of the Republic, inclusiveness and openness as well as diligence and self-improvement, should be upheld. We should forge ahead with determination and work hard, take the responsibility in promoting high-quality development of Liaoning University’s pursuit, overcome difficulties in serving new breakthroughs in the comprehensive revitalization of Liaoning, and work hard to write a new chapter in the construction of the Chinese path to modernization.

Student representatives made a speech entitled ‘Salute to the Motherland’,

 expressing the youthful oath to The Party of ‘The future of our country 

will become stronger with the efforts of each and every one of us”.

Representatives of teachers and students sang ‘Ode to the Motherland’ together, 

wishing the great motherland prosperity and the people happiness and health.
