On February 14th, Wang Hao, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of China Daily, carried out research activities at LNU and held a symposium in Conference Room 208 of Boyuan Building on Chongshan Campus. In-depth exchanges were carried out on aspects such as cultural communication, international education, think tank construction and talent cultivation. Yu Miaojie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of LNU, attended the meeting. The symposium was chaired by Vice President Qiu Huanguang.

Yu Miaojie warmly welcomed the visit of Wang Hao and his party, and introduced the achievements of LNU in recent years in the construction of "Double First Class", international talent cultivation, development of disciplinary characteristics, think tank construction, and international exchanges. He pointed out that China Daily is one of the main propaganda and cultural units of the central government, as well as an important window for China to go global and for the world to get to know China. He hopes that through further deepening of exchanges and cooperation with China Daily, LNU can continuously enhance its international reputation and influence.

Wang Hao expressed his gratitude to LNU for its warm reception.  He pointed out that LNU has distinct characteristics in education, significant disciplinary advantages, rich experience in international exchange and cooperation. It is in line with China Daily in international communication, international education, and research on international issues. He hopes to take the visit as an opportunity to further expand areas of cooperation, continuously improve international communication capabilities, and help LNU enhance its level of internationalization as well as academic influence.

At the symposium, the both parties exchanged in-depth views on international communication, international education, think tank construction, talent cultivation, as well as new media cooperation, and reached a strategic cooperation intention.
