On the afternoon of February 23rd, the 9th Faculty and Staff Representative Conference and the 2nd Session of the 12th Labor Union Member Representative Conference of Liaoning University were held at the Jonathan KS Choi Academic Lecture Hall in the office building of Puhe Campus. Pan Yishan, Secretary of the CPC Party Committee of LNU, attended the conference and delivered a speech. Yu Miaojie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of LNU, attended the conference and delivered a report on the school's work. Zhang Hongxin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee, Shi Baodong, Vice President, Wang Peng, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Qiu Huanguang and Yan Hai, Vice Presidents, attended the meeting.
227 faculty and staff representatives and 72 labor union member representatives attended the conference. Retired senior management personnel and teachers, officials of the other parties, representatives of non-affiliates, doctoral supervisors, representatives of personnel who owns associate professional titles as well as personnel on deputy management level or above, and chairpersons from trade union of departments were invited to attend the conference.

The conference believes that the university work report has a clear theme and lofty intentions, which inspires morale and motivates people to strive forward. The report truthfully summarizes the achievements of the school's various work in the past period, objectively analyzes the existing problems and shortcomings, clarifies the overall work plan for 2025, deploys ten key work tasks, and lays a solid foundation for the school to achieve the goal of "basically building a comprehensive research-oriented high-level university that is domestically first-class, internationally renowned, and has distinctive regional characteristics". The overall idea of the report is clear, the tasks are clear, and the measures are appropriate. The development goals proposed are in line with the actual situation of Liaoning University, and can be achieved through the joint efforts of the faculty and staff. The attending representatives fully affirmed and highly praised the report, and the meeting recommended the adoption of the school work report.

The conference deliberated the written report of "School Financial Work Report," "Trade Union Work Report," "Trade Union Financial Work Report," and "Trade Union Fund Review Committee Work Report”.
According to the agenda of the conference, 36 delegations and specially invited senior leaders and teachers were divided into 12 groups for discussion. All representatives conscientiously fulfilled their duties as representatives, with a high sense of responsibility and a strong sense of mission, discussing development with boosting morale, devising good strategies and talking over matters of vital importance. They reviewed and passed the resolutions of five reports, provided suggestions and strategies for promoting the high-quality development of various undertakings in the school.
