On February 25, 2025, Yu Miaojie, President of Liaoning University (LNU) conducted a meeting with Shenyang Power Supply Company of State Grid Liaoning Electric Power Co., Ltd. on the power capacity expansion and installation at Chongshan Campus and Puhe Campus. Tan Zhen, General Manager and Gu Wanjiang, Deputy General Manager of Shenyang Power Supply Company and Shi Baodong, Vice President of Liaoning University attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Yu Miaojie introduced Liaoning University and its overall development plan. He noted that with its focus on the ‘Double First-Class’ development, LNU had planed to build new buildings such as the R&D Building for the Faculty of Economics, student dormitories and gymnasiums in a way to improve the university’s teaching and research and students’ living conditions. He added that the current electricity could no longer meet the demand of the university’s development. He expected that the company could provide support on power capacity expansion and power supply plan to improve the university’ teaching quality and electric power guarantee.

Shi Baodong noted that in recent years, the number of undergraduate students had increased significantly, calling for the need to further strengthen infrastructure construction and the project on power capacity expansion could provide a strong safeguard on the teaching and research activities and the life of LNU teachers and students. He expressed his hope that the company could render its support so that Liaoning University could promote the capacity expansion and transformation of power supply infrastructure with great efficiency, thus injecting new impetus to the long-term development of the university.

Tan Zhen noted that Shenyang Power Supply Company of State Grid Liaoning Electric Power Co., Ltd. would fully support the development of Liaoning University by ensuring safe electricity use, coordinating accordingly and offering a power supply plan as soon as possible. Gu Wanjiang noted that the company would definitely give maximum support to the university in terms of technical support, staff assistance and work efficiency.

Participants from both sides had an in-depth discussion on the university’s power allocation, demonstration of power capacity expansion and power supply plan, application for power capacity expansion and installation and power demand.   

The meeting was also attended by Chi Hao, Deputy Chief Economist and Office Director, Zheng Yang, Director of Development Department, Li Gang, Manager of Shenbei New District of of Shenyang Power Supply Company of State Grid Liaoning Electric Power Co., Ltd., Huang Dajun, Director of Logistics Office, Zheng Yunlei, Director of Campus Development Office and Zhao Libo, Deputy Director of Logistics Office of Liaoning University.
