LNU Holds 41st Teachers’ Day Celebration

On September 9, 2025, Liaoning University (LNU) held a celebration conference for the 41st Teachers’ Day, along with the 2025 ceremony for retired teachers and oath-taking ceremony for newly recruited teachers. Pan Yishan, Secretary of the LNU Party Committee attended and delivered a speech; Zhang Hongxin, Deputy Secretary of the LNU Party Committee presided over the conference. University leaders including Wang Peng, Yan Hai, Lu Hui and Lu Anhui were present. Honored departments and individuals, representatives of retired teachers, new teachers and all officers at the deputy level or above attended the event.

     

 

On behalf of the LNU Party Committee, Pan Yishan extended holiday greetings to all faculties, paid tribute to retired teachers, welcomed new teachers and congratulated the honored. He noted that LNU had planned a series of Teachers’ Day-themed activities to convey care to the faculty and enhance their sense of honor to their occupation and happiness. He emphasized that LNU should keep pace with the times, focus on talent cultivation, scientific research innovation and social services so as to provide intellectual support for Liaoning’s comprehensive revitalization.    

He shared the professional ethics and responsibility of the teachers with stories and events within LNU and put forward four requirements for LNU’s departments and colleges: to be pioneers that focus on ideological education and teachers’ ethics building to guide teachers in strengthening the original mission of nurturing talents for the Party and the country; to be guides that promote LNU’s teaching and research departments to introduce policies helping new teachers join the teaching and research teams and adapt to the new environment quickly; to be intimate friends that smooth communication channels to solve new teachers problems in lesson preparation, teaching and research initiation; and to be service providers that implement policies such as talent housing subsidies and research funding support and open a green channel for new teachers.    

He also put forward four expectations for all LNU faculty and staff: to adhere to the political direction by organizing ideological and political courses, and promote the integration of value shaping, knowledge teaching and ability cultivation; to cultivate teachers’ ethics of benevolence, adhere to the bottom line of teachers’ ethics, and practice the concept that a teacher should be proficient in his subject and of noble character; to improve professional quality with the dedication of pursuing excellence, explore measures to restrict students’ behaviors, strengthen LNU’s laboratory management, and encourage teachers to deepen their expertise; and to serve the revitalization and development with the feelings of contributing to the hometown, connect with enterprises based on the platform of LNU’s Urban Research Institute, integrate real problems into teaching and research, and improve the ability to solve problems.

     

 

 

 

 

 

At the conference, LNU leaders announced the list of honored recipients and retired teachers.

     

 

 

 

Yang Gongyan, Gu Yumin and Zhang Chenxi spoke as representatives of LNU’s outstanding teachers, retired teachers and new teachers respectively. LNU leaders presented awards to the honored departments and individuals.
