
From December 18 to 20, 2025, the 17th China MBA Annual Meeting and the 2025 Business School Annual Gala were held in Haikou, Hainan. With the theme “Business Gathers in Hainan, Free Trade Sets Sail, Opportunities Shared,” the event brought together more than 1,000 participants, including MBA faculty and student representatives from over 200 universities at home and abroad, as well as professionals from various sectors concerned with the development of MBA education. This national MBA/EMBA gathering, initiated earliest in China and now the largest of its kind, served as a major platform for exchange and cooperation. The MBA team from the Business School of Liaoning University (LNU) was invited to attend and achieved multiple honors.

At this year’s annual meeting, distinguished guests including Ding Fei, Chairman of the Hainan Federation of Industry and Commerce, Mu Kerui, Secretary of the Party Committee of Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County, and Liu Dapeng, Director-General of the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce, delivered speeches and presentations. They provided in-depth insights into the policy framework, development opportunities, and key industry layout of the Hainan Free Trade Port in the context of the entire island’s closed-off operation. Chen Fuhang, a Year-2024 MBA student at the Business School, Chairman of the MBA Union, and Chairman of the China MBA Northeast Summit, represented the Northeast Summit at the MBA Union Presidents’ Forum. With the theme “Unite–Empower–Revitalize,” he shared the mission and action agenda practiced by MBA professionals in Northeast China, as well as the practical experience and innovative ideas of LNU’s MBA education.

At the “Golden Sand Night” Award Ceremony held on the evening of the 20th, the Business School of LNU achieved remarkable results in recognition of its solid foundation and innovative practices in MBA education: Dean Han Liangliang was awarded the “2025 China MBA Outstanding Leader Award”; Associate Professor Li Sihua received the “2025 China MBA Excellent Supervisor Award”; Chen Fuhang (Year 2024) was named one of the “2025 China MBA Top 10 Contribution Individuals”; Geng Hao (Year 2020) and Pei Likai (Year 2022) won the “2025 China MBA Outstanding Alumni Award”; Xiao Yanan and Song Yang (Year 2024) were honored with the “2025 China MBA Excellent Cadre Award”; Zhong Weicheng and Kan Mingyao (Year 2024), along with Pang Yun (Year 2025), were selected for the “2025 China MBA Rising Stars 100 Award”. In addition, the Business School of LNU also received institutional awards including the “Outstanding School Organization Award” and the “Top 10 Alumni Associations Award”.
