Wu Bing of Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism Visits LNU for Field Research

On March 17, 2026, Wu Bing, Vice Director of Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and his delegation visited Liaoning University (LNU) to conduct special research on comprehensive strategic cooperation. Qiu Huanguang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and Vice President of LNU, attended the meeting, and Wei Wenfei, a senior administrative officer of the Science, Technology and Education Division of Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, was also present.



Wu Bing spoke highly of the achievements made by LNU in discipline construction, scientific research innovation and talent cultivation. He stated that the high-quality development of Liaoning’s cultural and tourism industry cannot be separated from the intellectual support and professional empowerment of universities. Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism attaches great importance to the strategic cooperation with LNU, and hopes to give full play to the university’s advantages in disciplines, talents and scientific research. It is expected to deepen university-local coordination in the construction of cultural and tourism standardization, industrial research and project cooperation, promote the in-depth integration of industry, university, research and application, jointly inject new impetus into the transformation and upgrading as well as quality and efficiency improvement of Liaoning’s cultural and tourism industry, and work together to create a model of university-local cooperation.



Qiu Huanguang extended a warm welcome to Wu Bing and the delegation, expressing gratitude for the long-standing support provided by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism to LNU. He provided a detailed overview of the university’s academic discipline layout, research achievements in culture and tourism-related fields, and talent cultivation. He stated that LNU has always been committed to rooting itself in Liaoning and serving the province, attaching great importance to research and social services related to the cultural and tourism industry. He highlighted that this strategic cooperation with Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism serves as a vital opportunity for the university to leverage its academic strengths and facilitate local development. Moving forward, the university will integrate its premium faculty and research resources to strengthen collaboration with the Department in areas such as cultural and tourism industry research, standard formulation, and talent cultivation. Through high-quality research outcomes and professional services, LNU aims to contribute its strength to the high-quality development of Liaoning’s culture and tourism sector.

Relevant heads from the Business School, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Science and Technology Institute of LNU attended the meeting.
