On March 17, 2026, a delegation led by Wu Bing, Deputy Director of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, visited Liaoning University (LNU) for a special research on comprehensive strategic cooperation. Qiu Huanguang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of LNU, attended the meeting. Wei Wenfei, Grade III Researcher of the Science, Technology and Education Division of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, also participated in the event.

Wu Bing fully affirmed the achievements made by LNU in discipline construction, scientific research innovation and talent cultivation. He stated that the high-quality development of Liaoning’s cultural and tourism industry is inseparable from the intellectual support and professional empowerment of universities. The Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism attaches great importance to the strategic cooperation with LNU, hoping to give full play to the university’s advantages in disciplines, talents and scientific research. The two sides will deepen university-local collaboration in cultural and tourism standardization construction, industrial research and project cooperation, promote the in-depth integration of industry, academia, research and application, inject new impetus into the transformation, upgrading, quality improvement and efficiency enhancement of Liaoning’s cultural and tourism industry, and jointly set a model for university-local cooperation.

Qiu Huanguang extended a warm welcome to Wu Bing and his entourage, and thanked the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism for its long-term support to LNU. He elaborated on the university’s discipline layout, scientific research achievements in cultural and tourism-related fields and talent cultivation. He noted that LNU has always been rooted in and served Liaoning, attaching great importance to research and social services related to the cultural and tourism industry. The strategic cooperation with the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism is an important opportunity for the university to leverage its disciplinary advantages and support local development. The university will integrate high-quality teaching and research resources, strengthen cooperation with the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism in cultural and tourism industrial research, standard formulation and talent cultivation, and contribute to the high-quality development of Liaoning’s cultural and tourism industry with high-quality scientific research achievements and professional services.
