Yu Miaojie Attends 2026 World Economic Forum: Less Talk, More Deals

On June 23, the World Economic Forum’s 17th Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2026, also known as the Summer Davos Forum, opened at the Dalian International Conference Center. Yu Miaojie, President of Liaoning University, was invited to participate in the session titled “Less Talk, More Deals”, where he joined discussions on reforms to the global trade governance system, regional cooperation and development, and other related topics.

The session was moderated by Ravi Velloor, Senior Columnist at Singapore’s The Straits Times. Other panelists included Kody Blois, Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister of Canada; Kristen Hopewell, Professor in the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs at the University of British Columbia; Ana Fernanda Maiguashca, President of Colombia’s Private Council for Competitiveness; and Mark-Alexandre Doumba, Gabon’s Minister of Digital Economy, Digitalisation and Innovation.
