Wang Aili, lecturer, earned B.A. degree in Journalism at Dalian University of Foreign Languages (China), 2010, and M.F.A. Degree in Filmmaking at New York Film Academy (U.S.), 2013. She received her Ph.D in Arts from Beijing Film Academy (China), 2019.

For the past four years, Aili has been carrying out a number of researches on teaching modes of MFA filmmaking programs in the United States, as well as comparing them with the ones that has been used in China.  Her dissertation ‘Teaching by Doing, Learning by Doing’ focused on investigating and analyzing the teaching and learning system of American MFA filmmaking programs, summarized its characteristics, rules and useful enlightenments for professional film talents training. Some of her research works has been presented on CSSCI.

As a writer and director, Aili has wrote and directed several short films at home and abroad. She also worked as Assistant Director in a few major TV show productions.
