ZHAO Xiaogang

Zhao Xiaogang, male, was born in August,1976. He graduated from the Department of Archaeology in Jilin University in 1998 and got the master degree in History in 2007. He is now a full-time teacher of History in Liaoning University, and the project leader of field archaeological excavation. His academic direction is Archaeology and Historical Research in Shenyang area and Archaeology in Liaojin Dynasty. He is a member of the Public Archaeology Professional Steering Committee of Chinese Archaeological Society, a member of the Professional Committee of Song, Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, and a director of the Liaojin,Qidan and Nvzhen history branch of the Chinese ethnohistory society.He is the director of “Shengjingcheng Archaeology”, a major project of National Social Science Fund in 2014, which is a sub project of "Shengjingcheng Archaeology and the study of Qing Dynasty history and culture". He is the leader of the general project of National Social Science Fund “The Collection Research on the Excavated Data of Shenyang Zhengjia Wazi Site” in 2019. He is the drector of “The Study of Manchu Folk Inscriptions”, a major project of National Social Science Fund in 2019, which is a sub topic of "The Collection Research on Manchu Folk Historical Archives and The Construction of Database". Since he began to work, he has completed two archaeological excavation reports, one is “The Archaeological Excavation Report of Bawangsi Area in Shenyang ”, and the other is “The Cemetery of Liujiaquan in Xichuan”. He also has published more than 40 research papers, archaeological excavation reports in the national and provincial publications, such as “Archaeology”,“Cultural Relics”,“Northern Cultural Relics”.
