Zhang Lei, born in 1967, holds a bachelor’s degree and the professional title of associate professor. He had presided over one research project set by The Educational Department of Liaoning Province and participated in the other project. He is an international referee in football, and a member of National College Football Expert Committee. He holds the title of elite referee lecturer of Chinese Football Association and the match supervisor of the Chinese Super League. In addition, he is also the director of Liaoning Football Association and Liaoning Campus Football Award Committee.

    He led the Liaoning University football team to its championship of Shenyang University Football League for 5 consecutive times and the runner-up in the finals of the University Football League of Liaoning Province twice. He has played the key role in Liaoning University’s application for high-level football sports team. Under his guidance, two graduates of Liaoning University have entered the field of national football competitions. He has trained a number of top international and domestic football referees, and has been assigned by the General Administration of Sport of the State three times to assist the football education work in the Tibet Autonomous Region.
