Prof. CHENG Lihong

Professor CHENG Lihong is a Ph.D. in History, Second-level Professor, and a Doctoral Supervisor. She is a member of New Century Excellent Talent of the Ministry of Education, Distinguished Professor of National Talent Project, Liaoning Provincial Distinguished Professor, and a talent of Liaoning Provincial Cultural Master Project. She is currently serving as the Dean of School of Journalism and Communication of LNU. She is also a member of Journalism and Communication Teaching Supervisory Committee of the Ministry of Education, Director of Liaoning Provincial Journalism and Communication Teaching Supervisory Committee, Member of Liaoning Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Academic Committee, Member of the 6th Academic Degree Committee of Liaoning Province; Executive Director of CAHJC, Vice President of “Journalism and Education Research Committee” of CAHJC, Vice President of “Local Journalism and Education Research Committee”of CAHJC; Editorial Board Director of “Media Criticism” and Editorial Board Member of “Journalism and Communication Researching”. Also, she serves as a co-researcher of Cheng She-Wo Institute for Chinese Journalism of Shih Hsin University in Taiwan.

Professor CHENG Lihong has conducted in-depth research in the fields of journalism and communication and media culture in Qing dynasty, her representative works are “The Study on the Journalists during Qing Dynasty” and “Research on preaching and public speaking of Qing Dynasty”. She has published more than 70 academic papers in Academic Journal, Journal of Fudan University, Modern Communication, Exploration and Free Views, Jilin University Social Sciences Edition and Social Sciences Front, of which 5 articles are reprinted in full by XinHua Digest and some articles are reprinted by China Social Sciences Digest. She successively won 2 first prizes and 4 second prizes of Liaoning Provincial Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award. “The Study on the Journalists during Qing Dynasty” has rewarded as the first prize of Outstanding Achievement Award for the First Social Sciences Funding Project of Jilin Province.
