Professor LI Shuyun, born in 1965, currently serves as member of the standing committee of the Party committee and vice president of Liaoning University. She gained undergraduate degree and doctoral degree from Peking University. Professor LI is a selectee of New Century Talents Project, entitled to the special allowance of the State Council. As one of the first batch of distinguished professors in Liaoning Province, she has been selected twice on the list of Excellent Sci-Tech Talents of Liaoning Provincial Higher Institutions. Besides, she takes the position as the executive member and academic committee member of Association of National Higher Education International Politics, the selection committee member of The National Social Science Fund of China and the selection committee expert of Philosophy and Social Sciences Research of Ministry of Education.

Her research field mainly focuses on international issues, and key research orientation centers on eco-environmental construction, sustainable security, strategic relations among major powers, and new international political economics. Professor LI has been in charge of  more than 20 key and general projects of The National Social Science Fund of China, The Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of Ministry of Education, Education Department of Liaoning Province and Science and Technology Department of Liaoning Province. Plus, her academic papers have been published in World Economics and Politics, Foreign Affairs Review, International Politics Quarterly. Full text of some papers has been cited by Internal Information of People’s Daily and Reprinted Data of Newspapers and Periodicals of China Renmin University. Part of her academic outcomes received written instructions and comments from Central authorities. As an excellent postgraduate supervisor in Liaoning, Professor LI has been the awardee of Outstanding Achievement Award of Philosophy and Social Sciences in Liaoning multiple times.
