Prof. WANG Houshuang

Prof. Wang Houshuang is a second-class professor, a doctoral supervisor, an academic leader of Liaoning University, being named an outstanding talent of both Liaoning University and Shenyang City. Wang is a chief expert on major projects in the national social science fund while also serving as Dean of the Research Institute of Liaoning University Pilot Free Trade Zone. Wang additionally is a chief expert of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee Key New Think Tank, the Liaoning University Key New Think Tank, and the Northeast Asia Economic Cooperation and Free Trade Experimental Zone Research Base. Some of Wang’s other titles include: Adjunct Professor of Liaoning Administration College (Liaoning Provincial Party School); Distinguished Professor of South China University; Expert of the Overseas Intellectual Property Assistance Expert Group of the Ministry of Commerce; a member of the Decision Advisory Committee of the Liaoning Provincial Committee, the Shenyang Municipal Committee, the Yingkou Municipal Committee, the Benxi Municipal Committee, and the Panjin Municipal Committee; a counselor of the Shenyang Municipal People's Government; a think-tank expert of the Shenyang Municipal People's Government; and a member of the Advisory Committee of Shenyang Area and Yingkou Area of Liaoning Pilot Free Trade Zone.

Wang was selected for the Liaoning New Century Social Science Talent Project and has been named as one of the outstanding young- and middle-aged backbone teachers in Liaoning Province, as well as being among the one hundred in the "100 Million Project" at Liaoning Province and contributing to the outstanding talent support project in Liaoning colleges and universities. Wang has served as Executive Director of the National Japan Economic Society, the China Japan Society, and others, while also being Vice President of the Liaoning Pacific Committee and Deputy Director of the RCEP Think Tank in Liaoning Province.

Wang has presided over more than 60 national scientific research projects at both the provincial and ministerial levels. He has shown a long-term commitment to global economic governance, international trade friction, opening up globally, and conducting research on cutting-edge theoretical and practical issues in the field of free-trade zones (ports). He has published more than 200 papers in People's Daily, Economic Daily, Economist, Japanese Journal, and other news publications, with more than 30 academic works winning first prize in state, provincial government, and national societies. Dozens of consultation suggestions put forward by Wang have been positively received and adopted by the leaders at the state, provincial, and city levels. For all his work, Wang has been honored as a National Advanced Individual in Social Science Work.
