Prof. ZHANG Lei

Prof. Zhang Lei has a Ph.D. in materiel chemistry and is a second-level professor and a doctoral supervisor. Prof. Zhang is an expert receiving special government allowance from the State Council and is a leading talent of the Liaoning Revitalization Talent Program of Liaoning Province. She has twice been selected as the team leader of the Higher Education Innovation Team of Liaoning Province while also being a selectee of the Higher Education Outstanding Technology Talent Support Plan of Liaoning Province; for her work, she has often been recognized as a Liaoning Provincial Outstanding Doctoral and Postgraduate Supervisor. Prof. Zhang has also been selected as a 7th Shenyang Excellent Expert and a 13th Shenyang Outstanding Technology Talent. Moreover, she has been named a Shenyang Leading Expert and serves as a communication evaluation expert for the National Social Science Fund of China.

Prof. Zhang’s main research areas focus on the design of functional micro-nano materials; the adjustment, surface features, and application of functional micro-nano; catalytic material for low-carbon energy; as well as materials and devices of micro-nano photoelectric. She has presided over three projects of the National Natural Science Fund and 13 provincial level projects. Prof. Zhang has published over 130 SCI papers as the primary author within the international academic journals Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Hazardous Materials, and Journal of Materials Chemistry A. She won second prize at the Liaoning Provincial Natural Science Awards as a primary author as well as first prize at the Liaoning Provincial Outstanding Teaching Achievement Awards, 16 prizes at the Liaoning Provincial Natural Science Academic Achievement Awards, and eight prizes at the Shenyang Natural Science Academic Achievement Awards. Additionally, Prof. Zhang has been granted 16 nationally authorized invention patents as the first applicant.
