Abstract: In order to implement the requirements of "jointly grasping large-scale protection and not engaging in large-scale development", the Yangtze River Protection Law follows the ideas of overall planning and management, overall resource protection, water pollution prevention and control, and coordinated ecological and environmental restoration. After the general provisions, the system of watershed planning and control based on spatial planning, the system of resource protection aiming at ensuring water safety and protecting the integrity of the ecosystem, the system of water pollution prevention and control focusing on comprehensive pollution prevention and control, and the system of ecological environment restoration oriented at multi-dimensional restoration are stipulated in successive chapters. The establishment of this series of systems has provided a systematic institutional guarantee for the ecological environment protection of the Yangtze River and formed a hard constraint mechanism for the ecological environment of the Yangtze River.
