ABSTRACT

As the guiding ideology for the construction of ecological civilization in China, Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization has always been throughout the construction of ecological civilization in China and has an important role and status. The traditional ecological culture has been gradually formed by the wisdom and experience of countless working people in ancient times, after thousands of years of historical precipitation in China.

This paper has four parts besides the introduction. The first part outlines Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization through three aspects: the theoretical overview of Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization, the theoretical origins of Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization, and the formation and development of Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization, laying the foundation for the following discussion.

In the second part, from the theoretical perspective, the theoretical contents of Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization on the transformation and development of traditional ecological culture are elaborated from five aspects, namely, the natural view of the unity of heaven and man, the practical view of Taoism and nature, the production view of taking in moderation, the governance view of the system as a whole, and the rule of law system of Yu Heng.

In the third part, the practical path of Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization for the transformation and development of traditional ecological culture is elaborated from two aspects: continuously promoting the innovative development of Chinese excellent traditional ecological culture and realizing the creative transformation of traditional ecological discourse.

In the fourth part, the value of Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization in transforming and developing traditional ecological culture is discussed in concrete terms, taking both theory and reality as entry points.

In Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization, General Secretary Xi Jinping has transformed and developed traditional ecological culture, which has enriched the connotation of Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization in the new era, enhanced the adaptability of traditional ecological culture in the new era, and improved the socialist ecological culture system with Chinese characteristics, which is needed to continuously promote the construction of ecological civilization and build a beautiful China, and is a requirement of the times in the context of global cultural intermingling.
