Internationalization of Postgraduate Courses in Chinese Universities

Abstract: The internationalization of postgraduate courses in China has developed on the basis of the development of the university, the establishment of the degree system, and continuous learning and integration of experience from foreign countries. It has gone through a process of four stages including transplant emulation to rational exploration, comprehensively following the Soviet model, localized innovation, and comprehensive and interactive development. The in-depth research on the internationalization of higher education has laid a theoretical foundation for the internationalization of graduate courses. The research on the internationalization of courses provides a theoretical framework for the internationalization of graduate courses. The internationalization of graduate courses includes both the international frontier curriculum system and the curriculum system construction of the local culture. In the new era of in-depth and high-quality development of postgraduate education internationalization, it is necessary to innovate in macro-strategy, quality connotation enhancement, practical development model as well as evaluation method, etc.
