Abstract：Since the 1971s, with the prevalence of capitalist industrialization in Western society, developed countries have experienced rapid economic development, making global industrialization an inevitable trend of the times. The destruction of the natural ecological environment has also spread to the world with global industrialization, leading to a global ecological crisis. The attention to natural ecological issues is also increasing, and it has become a research topic of ecological socialism. David Pepper is an important representative figure of the third generation in the ecological socialism movement. He criticized the ecological centrism and postmodernism tendencies from the perspective of Marxist anthropocentrism. This article mainly delves into David Pepper's ecological socialist ideology from three parts and objectively evaluates his theory.
